Fellowship Application

Wideman Davis Dance invites African American artists, creators, makers, craftspeople, and community builders to partner with us during the final two phases (Phase Two: October 8 to November 19, 2023 and Phase Three: February 11 to March 24, 2024) of our Harpersville residency.

Community Fellows will participate in community events and contribute a final exhibition comprising each fellow’s work. Five creators will receive $5,000.00 (in three installments) to complete the work and support your practice. We are open to funding a range of projects, including but not limited to:

  • Dance
  • Painting
  • Photography
  • Sculpture
  • Cooking/Culinary Arts
  • Crafts
  • Public History
  • Music
  • Building
  • Theater Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Film
  • Quilters
  • Furniture Makers
